Identical twins. Poles apart. Light and Shadow. Saffron and Sage. Their Destinies interlocked in a Quest that will determine the fate of Humankind ... Seventeen-year-old Saffron Woods is haunted by strange voices as if from a distant past. With the SEED’s sentience awakened, these mystical voices intensify, forcing Saffron to acknowledge that she has also inherited its legacy of dark secrets, intrigue and death. Venturing out alone, Saffron is driven to locate an ancient manuscript charting the location of the only undiscovered Wonder of the Ancient World, the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, gateway to the Garden of Eden. But last seen in the Library of Alexandria, the SCROLL is long thought to be lost. Saffron meets Finn, the compelling caretaker of Satis House who appears to know more than he is willing to reveal. Knowing she cannot trust him, Saffron is drawn to this rebellious figure who seems to both threaten and protect her. But her feelings for Finn are complicated by the charming yet inscrutable Anakim, Gabriel Chevalier, who offers her his invaluable assistance in locating the elusive manuscript. Torn between competing passions and facing an increasingly implacable enemy, the Grigori, Saffron struggles to find the SCROLL which holds the secrets to the past and the key to the future… A brilliant new adult paranormal romance with action, suspense and supernatural fantasy. SCROLL is the second book in this gripping new epic adventure series sure to appeal to young adults and crossover fiction readers who enjoy an assured blend of romance, fantasy and history. Keepers of Genesis series (SEED, SCROLL, SWORD and STONE) should appeal to readers of Veronica Roth, Becca Fitzpatrick, Cassandra Clare, Lauren Kate, The Twilight saga, Deborah Harkness, and to fans of Indiana Jones, National Treasure, The Mummy or of Lara Croft’s adventures. Praise for The Keepers of Genesis series 'You know that thrill when you discover an author whose every word draws you in and you cannot put the book down? This is one such book and this is one such author. I absolutely adored SEED. I did not want to part from it, did not want it to end.’ Renaita D’Silva author of The Forgotten Daughter ‘It is just brilliant. I'm rarely left speechless about a book… I laughed and cried at this book. It is beautifully written and Nielsen is a wonderful author with such a vivid imagination.’ EV Goddard englishbibliophile.blogspot.co.uk ‘I stayed up until very very late one night reading this novel. Very difficult to put down once you're immersed, the pages just keep on turning... This author knows how to weave a spell with words, how to pull you into the world she's created and make it real.’ H Chim ‘As an avid reader/writer I'm fairly particular about certain genres, but Seed has it all; Angels, Nephilim, Religion, History, language, Romance & Suspense. … if you're looking for an accurate, romantic, addictive read, buy Seed now! WARNING make sure you're well-rested with plenty of portable food & drink at hand AND nothing in your agenda but time to read. ’ P A Chang

Light. Dark.Sage Woods. Saffron Woods. Seventeen year old twin girls, two sides of a coin. In SEED, we learn about Sage being a "Wise One", but twists and turns within SCROLL reveal that not is all as it seems.
Book two is written in Saffron's POV, and the tone of the novel is far more dark than the first. But that is precisely why I love it. While Sage is the bookworm, Saffron is the common teen with the need to prove herself while enjoying the wild bits of life. Minus the often placed modern life references, I enjoyed Saffron's struggle between the dark pull to Finn and the intrigued light pull to Gabriel. And who could not enjoy the history and mythology placed within the series? Besides the dark tone, that is what is greatly enjoyable in this series to me. I look forward to book three.

Cant wait to read the net book in the series
Absolutely brilliant, the authors creativity is amazing
The best read in a long time.
I did like book #1 (Seed) a little better. It had more romance and wasn't as dark, but I love this series so far. Can't wait to read the next book in this series.
Love this series! Great stories and characters. I can totally imagine this happening. In every detail. I was so disappointed when I saw I was 95% done. I just didn't want it to end. Looking forward to the next book!
Must read series for me; if this is a genre you enjoy, you're going to love it too!
I really loved the first book in the series and this one was a fabulous follow on. In comparison to Seed, Scroll was darker, yes, but as we learn, our narrator, Saffron has a darker and more troubled history than her twin, and it was the journey she goes through as a character during Scroll that stood out for me above everything else. Seeing her learn to believe in herself, rely on herself despite her insecurities and self doubt, was very satisfying.
And of course, Nielsen's beautiful, lyrical writing and descriptions were just as wonderful in this book as in the first, and the pace of the plot, was, if possible, even faster than Seed. This is a real rollercoaster ride of a novel that you just CAN. NOT. PUT. DOWN.
The second is even better then the first. Sage finds out her twin is also the wise one! Her twin has all the qualities she does not so the compliment one another. There is m o re adventure and Fi is very spirited, could she be in love with the wrong one? Danger, battles, love and adventure what more can one ask for. I totally enjoyed this story the sense of humor, heart ache it has it all. I am so excited to read the next book! I rate this book a 5 stars!
The brilliantly written Keepers of Genesis series continues with Scroll, the second book of the series. Saffron, Sage's polar opposite twin, is the featured protagonist and she ushers in an Indiana Jones, devil-may-care sense of adventure that leaves one spellbound. Once again DB Nielsen manages to capture the reader's attention with a firm grasp & thrust them headlong into an intoxicating, addictive blend of Da Vinci code intrigue, Angels, demons, parallel worlds, ancient history, forbidden lust & unexpected romance. Readers are whisked between the English countryside, the moulding underground catacombs of Paris, and parallel worlds as Saffron battles to find & protect one of the artefacts that could resurrect the lost Garden of Eden. Both good & evil angelic factions scramble to decipher the Scroll in order to gain control in the aeons old battle over both Heaven & Earth. This second offering of the series leads the reader thru the heart stopping twists & turns so expertly that the book is done before the realisation sets in that we must now wait for books 3 & 4. I believe a 12 step program may be necessary while we anxiously await the, as yet, unknown outcome. Will Heaven ultimately triumph or will the Fallen Angels finally open the gates to Tartarus to wreak havoc upon mankind?
Light. Dark.
